Civic Literacy & Discourse ASU

This course will introduce you to resources on voting and conversations about our civic rights and duties.

This course leverages the expertise of Arizona State University's School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership and the Center for Political Thought and Leadership to bring you exciting conversations on what it means to be a civic participant. Prior to course launch, get started with the resources below.

Civic Discourse Project: Visit the Civic Discourse Project, "a multi-year project addressing the pressing issues of our times. Each year, the project addresses a particular important theme by inviting the top minds - civic leaders, academics, public intellectuals - engaged in thinking through the big ideas and challenges facing American society, to discuss and explore them with our community."

Civic Literacy Curriculum: Could you pass the Civic Literacy Test? ASU designed the Civic Literacy Curriculum to prepare you to be an A+ citizen. The online curriculum guides you through 7 sections and ultimately tests your knowledge with their assessment modeled after the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Naturalization Test.
